Building on our proven Hypodermic Tubing Adapter Ferrules, AO Scientific has further developed a comprehensive approach to incorporating PTFE extruded tubing directly into existing circuits. The key element to the solution is our proprietary polyimide ferrule coupled with a 304 stainless steel tube support. The 15/85 Graphite - Vespel® ferrule provides an extremely secure and robust connection between extruded PTFE tubing, and standard liquid/ gas circuit connections. Each ferrule is custom machined to accommodate the various sizes of Zeus® semi-rigid PTFE extruded tubing, combined with the appropriate tube support for that tube. The adapter ferrule is designed to replace the standard compression ferrule that comes with Parker®, Swagelok® or Bi-lok® compression instrumentation fittings. The maximum operating temperature of the ferrule is 572ºF (300ºC) and the maximum operating pressure of 100PSI.
